The Oxford dictionary (2009 second edition) defines a donation as a voluntary gift or a contribution for a specific cause. It also defines a donor as one who gives a donation and a recipient as one who receives such a gift. This essay therefore discusses the following; the benefits a donor gets fro donation which are grouped into three categories. These are; psychological benefits, social benefits and economic benefits.
